Antonios Ktenas

My passion for music led me to the path of creation, therefore I studied music composition. After that I managed to compose a sufficient amount of music pieces, while at the same time I was participating in different music ensembles (of classical & traditional genre) playing different types of instruments (percussion, woodwinds, etc.) seeking their roots and their history. My dedication to the study of music theory led me to seek the music foundations of ancient Greece. I was very impressed when I discovered similar functions between the modern music and the music dating back thousands of years. Thus, during the time of my research I met Kostas, with whom we both had the same vision, the recreation and evolution of our ancient Greek music tradition. Since then, we operate together as music team “Ευτέρπη”, a name which refers to the muse of instrumental music.
